TO CHARGE THE PHONE:

1) Insert the mini-USB connector on the AC Charger cable into the USB port on the lower left-side of the phone.

2) Plug the AC Charger into an AC wall outlet or a surge protector. The battery indicator on the display will flash as the battery is charged.

3) You should see “Charge Complete” on the display and the battery indicator LEDs turn solid when the battery is fully charged.

4) Unplug the mini-USB connector from the phone.

Note: The phone’s battery normally takes about 1/2 to 4 hours to charge depending on how much you’ve been using the phone. It will not damage the battery to leave the charger plugged into the phone longer than this.

The lithium-ion battery normally lasts for about two to three years, then it should be discarded and a new one should be purchased. Actually, it's better to take any used batteries and old cellphones when you get a replacement phone to a recycling center instead of throwing it into the trash. (In fact, this is the law in some states.)
